Penny is 20 months old and came from Sky x Charlie. She is only 42 pounds and as you can see looks a lot like her dad!I’ve been working basic obedience with her and exposing her to field conditions since we got her. I took her to North Dakota Pheasant hunting with me earlier this fall and warned my North Dakota friends I had a young dog I wanted to hunt. I could tell one of the guys was a bit concerned that she might be unmanageable and ruin the hunt. That anxiety left very quickly as we started our hunt. She has an excellent nose, unbelievable energy, points well, and chases down and retrieves birds with no problem. And the more I take her out, all she just gets us better! Recently, she has gotten much better figuring out what’s going on in winding conditions and chasing down running birds. As you can tell, this is an endorsement! Thanks so much for an excellent hunting dog and pet!

I would like to thank Willow Creek Kennels for our amazing GSP Luna. She is all we could ask for in a family dog, especially with our newborn. Luna is an avid hunter and she was a good nose and a strong point. When we saw Honker we had a feeling we were getting a good dog from that litter but didn’t know we were going to get so lucky. WCK truly knows what they are doing and they did a great job in guiding us towards the type of dog that may best fit our home and hunting environment. Luna is 1 1/2 yo now and is in full stride, amazing watching her work! When I decide to get another GSP, Willow Creek Kennels is hands down the place I will be contacting!

I am so thankful to Willow Creek for the incredible pup I have in Dexter! Dex is now 20 months and is both a phenomenal versatile hunter and companion. Dex was in the duck blind at 8 months and his steadiness and retrieving ability shocked everyone who didn’t expect this breed let alone one so young to excel with waterfowl. He’s a great chukar and pheasant hunter who runs hard, very intense and steady at point .Training Dex is more about understanding each other, he has it figured out already naturally….. he’s just waiting for me to get with the program! When I am not hunting I’m an avid hiker, backpacker and climber, Dex has been a true sidekick on that front and summited his first 14,000 foot peak this last July.As a companion, he is always at my side and is a wonderful “coffee shop dog” he goes to work with me daily, is fantastic with the three young kids at home, and very polite in the house (outside of the occasional counter surfing incident). He also turns a lot of heads, I was not prepared for the amount of comments and talk I get out and about with Dex!Thank you so much to Willow Creek for running such a fantastic program. I am so glad I chose to go with a pup from Willow Creek.

When we set out for our new pup we were looking for a pup that would not only point but have the drive to retrieve. We hunt upland game and shed hunt. We are totally blown away with the versatility and the learning ability of our pup Oakley. At 14 weeks old she ran two “fun run” NASHDA courses, because she is not old enough for the actual hunt test. She completed both in under the 15min time limit and found/retrieved all 6 sheds on both courses. We just own and run GSP’s, for the most part it’s a retrieving breed sport. Other’s were also blown away at how she did. She is also a machine on birds, which came natural to her. I have trained my own dogs and have been around a lot of dogs and you can just tell when a breeder has a breeding program right and good dogs. Willow Creek has it. If you are hesitating getting a pup from Willow Creek, stop and get the pup. A huge kicker, they are awesome people, very knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you again Willow Creek!

Our general requirements for a dog breed were: A) Loving companion B) Water dog C) Minimal Shedding D) Athletic E) Great hunter. We were absolutely blessed with The Duchess Willow (Willow) on May 2015 from the Sire: Honker and the Dam: Shelby. She has exceeded all expectations. We selected Willow Creek Kennels and the litter because we live on the Lake and required a water dog. We were happy to hear that even though water skills are not graded by AKC and the breed, Willow Creek Kennels does recognize it as a key trait and guided us to Honker. We were a bit nervous, but Willow absolutely loves swimming, boating, fishing, kayaking. Willow is on the small size at 47 pounds, but she is completely ripped. Most people who see her are amazed at her beauty and her temperament. Anyone who hunts with her is blown away with her athleticism, nose, and discipline. While hunting pheasants, she points birds that other dogs miss and hunts harder than every other dog. When she was 8 months she already started retrieving birds. We can’t begin to express how much Willow has added to our family and we thank everyone at Willow Creek Kennel for you help and love of GSP’s.
